Obituary For Rosina Competiello

Rosina Competiello of Solebury, Pennsylvania, passed away, peacefully, at home, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. She was 88 years of age. Born in Sant' Angelo dei Lombardi, Italy, Rosina met her beloved late husband of 55 years, Michele Competiello, also from the same town. In 1975, Rosina and Michele immigrated to the United States with their three sons by whom they are survived: Tony Competiello (Luisa), Victor Competiello (Carol), and Gaetano Competiello (Marybeth).
Rosina is the cherished grandmother of Anthony Competiello (Jennifer), MicheleAngelo (Estefany Puente), Victoria, and Nicholas. She is also the loving great-grandmother of Madelyn (8) and Adam (4). Rosina is survived by her siblings, Angelo Petito (Annunziata), Antonio Petito (late wife, Maria), Anna Matteo (late husband Geraldo), and Geraldo Petito (Rosina). Rosina is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews. Throughout her marriage, Rosina loved to laugh with and play jokes on her husband. She was always joyful, very giving, and always had a smile when in the company of her family and friends. When able to do so, Rosina made her own tomatoe sauce from scratch and it was the BEST. Always filled with energy and with incredible stregnth, Rosina would run from place to place and did nothing at a slow pace! Though she never drove a car, she knew exactly where she was going and would adamantly give the driver directions and would be right every time. Her little partner in crime, Jake, her son, Gaetano's terrier, accompanied her in many mischievous capers and was by her side keeping watch over Rosina when she was not well. Rosina made a wonderful impact on many lives and will be missed greatly. May she rest in peace and may God Bless her for all eternity, in Jesus' name. Amen.
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26) .
