Obituary For Robert ("Bob") George Simonetti

Robert ("Bob") George Simonetti, 75, passed away on December 15, 2021 after a long fought battle with Alzheimer's dementia.

The only child of Ines and Joseph ("George") Simonetti, Bob was born on May 2, 1946, in New York City.

Bob graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and went on to study engineering at Queens College. In 1968, he joined the Air Force as a medic to serve his country.

In 1969, shortly after his mother's passing, he wed the love of his life, Patricia. Married for 52 years, together they raised their four children: Donna (Steve), Robert (Mirella), Joseph (Mariella) and Michael (Elizabeth).

Bob was a successful entrepreneur. Initially establishing a microfilm business servicing Wall Street and local government contracts, expanding to 4 offices throughout the United States. As business grew and technology changed, his company adapted from microfilm to digital imaging. His children all have fond memories of summer jobs removing staples and splicing film.

More than anything, Bob loved the Yankees, relaxing in the country, cooking and his family, which makes his passing even more difficult at this time of the year. Christmas Eve was his favorite holiday, making his famous 13 not 7, fishes - a family tradition that started with him and will carry on for generations

Bob was blessed with eight amazing grandchildren: Joseph, Robert, Angelina, Matthew, Isabella, Jayden, Aubree and Aliana who will continue to make him proud as he watches over all of us.

Please respect the family's wishes for a private viewing at the Aievoli Funeral Home. A committal service at St .James Cemetery in Woodbridge, New Jersey will follow.

To honor Bob's life, please make a donation in his name to the Alzheimer's Association at www. alz.org/
