Obituary For Mario Sparacino

Mario Sparacino, 83 of Daytona Beach Florida, a retired New York City Fireman, passed away on Thursday, July 11th, 2024 with his daughter, granddaughters, and daughter-in-law by his side.

Mr. Sparacino was born in Brooklyn New York on May 27th, 1941. He served in the United States Army, and served the great City of New York, first as a police officer, with The New York Police Department and then as a Lieutenant with The New York Fire Department. He enjoyed music, sports, cars, and reading.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, uncle, nephew and friend.

He was preceded in death by a brother Joseph in 1976, and his parents Joseph and Vincenza.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela of Brooklyn, NY, her partner Jack Crosley of New York, NY, a daughter in law, Stephanie of Atlanta, GA, a son, Joseph of Jacksonville, Florida, two granddaughters, and nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him so.

    My dear cousin Mario. I remember as a young girl my sister and I would go to your house and play ping pong with you and your brother Joe. Other memories are of us all going to grandma and grandpa's house and play ball in the driveway against the wall. Also enjoyed in later years when you'd come up from Florida and all of the cousins would get together and have a fun day. Rest in Peace my dear cousin. Much Love Jeanette Ancona
