Giuseppe Cordi, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024 at the age of 88.

Born on March 28, 1936 in Marina di Gioiosa Ionica, Italy. Giuseppe immigrated to the United States in 1955 and spent many years living in Brooklyn, New York. He was the proud son of Eugenio and Immacolata. He was also the brother of Maria and Vincenzo.

Giuseppe was a devoted husband to his late wife, Concetta. He is survived by their four children: Eugene (Annamaria), Walter, Marilyn and Wayne (Cathy). He was a proud grandfather to Joseph (Chrissy), Amanda (Salvatore), Julianna, Anthony, Peter, Jason and Brian. He was also a loving great-grandfather to Raffaele and Eugene.

A printer by trade, Giuseppe also had a passion for gardening and fishing. He was an avid hockey fan rooting for the NY Rangers, loved working with his hands, had a kind spirit and an infectious smile. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on October 1, 2024 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Brooklyn NY.

I meet Giuseppe Cordi through Marilyn and visited them in Brooklyn. I guess fondest memory was when he wanted to give me some flowers from a plant that was planted by the side of the house.
