Francesco Bellia, 85, of Brooklyn, New York passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. Francesco was born on November 21, 1937 in Carini, Sicily. He joined the Italian army at the age of 21 and married the love of his life Josephine on August 2, 1958. After serving in the army he came to America and joined local 6A Cement and Concrete Union. He is survived by his beautiful wife Josephine; four children Phyllis Porter(William Porter), Sally Ann Crupi(Joseph Crupi), Anthony Bellia (Pashka Bellia), & MaryLou Sorenson (Kevin Sorenson); 10 beautiful grandchildren Stephanie Ryan (William Ryan), Christopher Porter, Jessica Porter, Alicia Crupi, Joey Crupi, Nicholas Bellia, Gabrielle Bellia, Brielle Sorenson, Daniella Sorenson, & Kevin Sorenson. Along with his two great grandchildren William Ryan & Penelope Ryan. He is also survived by his sister Angela Alamia, brother in law, sister in laws, and many nieces and nephews. He was a proud brother, brother in law, son in law, uncle and friend. Francesco was known to all as a wonderful husband, father, Papa, Chief and boss. He will be greatly missed. We seek comfort in knowing he is reunited with his predeceased parents Antonio and Crocifissa Bellia, brother Stefano Bellia, and other family members in heaven.
