Obituary For Dolores Vara

Dolores was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Her parents were born in Galica, Spain and immigrated to the US in 1914. She attended Fort Hamilton High School, and in 1956 went on to work for the NY Telephone company. She retired as a supervisor in 1988 from Verizon with 32 years of service. She is survived by her twin sons Roger and Manny and her nephew and wife Mark and Cheryl Medin.

    There are so many cherished memories of our travels to Spain together, and of course, the countless trips to Brooklyn where we spent all of my childhood Christmases. You will be missed Dolores. I can only imagine you all up in heaven now, singing Que Viva Espana. R.I.P
