Awad Sousou, born in Beirut, Lebanon on March 31, 1971 and died on December 10, 2021, in Brooklyn, NY (age 50) after a long battle with brain cancer. Awad is the son of Samir Sousou (deceased) and Nadia (Allawh) Sousou. Awad is survived by his twin brother, Rami Sousou (spouse: Karla Sousou), his sister Rania (Sousou) Patsos (spouse: Christopher Patsos), his nephew John Sousou, and nieces Nadia (Nouna) Sousou and Maria (Mimi) Sousou, as well as uncles, aunts, and cousins. He also left many friends and acquaintances, many whom he had helped to make it here in the United States.

Awad received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University and his Masters in Electrical Engineering from the City College of New York. Awad grew up in Amman, Jordan where he attended the College De La Salle "Frere" from 1st to 12th grade. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1988. Awad worked in the retail business until his death.
