Anthony John Pontolillo was born on April 6, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Marie Gagliastro Pontolillo and John Pontolillo. He attended P.S. 160 and Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn, and also studied business development and education at St. Francis College in Downtown Brooklyn. During his years of service in the National Guard, he was stationed at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. Tony was a successful salesman for the popular Norcross Greeting Card Company, and in later years he worked as a computer programmer and operated mainframe computers in the Garment Center for the ILGWU.

Because of his love of music, and his beautiful singing voice he was selected as a member of The All City Chorus. The latest in electronics and beautiful sports cars were some of his favorite things. He was always known as a handsome man who dressed meticulously. He was predeceased by his siblings; George Pontolillo, Jeannette T. Marino, Marie Pontolillo and Thomas Pontolillo. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and devoted friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he Rest In Eternal Peace.
